Originally painted on the ruins of a bombed building in Borodyanka, Ukraine, this stencil depicts a young gymnast performing a handstand amid devastation. Created in late 2022 following Russia’s invasion, it became one of Banksy’s most widely shared wartime images symbolising resilience and grace in the face of destruction.

Exhibited for the first time at Cut & Run in Glasgow, the original stencil and debris from the site were displayed together, offering viewers a rare glimpse into the artist’s creative process and his response to contemporary conflict through art.
