In November 2022, Banksy created seven new murals across Ukraine, a country still recovering from war and conflict. One of these murals depicts a female gymnast, balancing on a pile of rubble, painted on the side of a building damaged by Russian airstrikes. 

Despite the destruction around her, the gymnast remains poised and graceful, a symbol of resilience in the face of adversity. This powerful artwork is one of seven confirmed works that Banksy created in Ukraine, bringing attention to the ongoing struggles and perseverance of the Ukrainian people.
