In this animatronic installation, chicken nuggets fitted with legs wander around a coop, dipping themselves into sauce under the watchful eye of a live hen. First shown in Banksy’s 2008 New York exhibition The Village Pet Store and Charcoal Grill, the piece merges absurd humour with biting social critique. By transforming fast food into sentient creatures, Banksy confronts viewers with the ethics of consumption and industrial farming. The work’s playful façade masks a chilling reflection on how far society has drifted from empathy toward the animals it commodifies.
