HMV
2003
Print on Paper

Banksy's artwork ‘HMV’ cleverly appropriates the famous logo of the British music and entertainment company from the 1920s. In his stencilled version, the dog, instead of gazing at the record player, holds a rocket launcher aimed at it, offering a thought-provoking commentary on the music industry.
Originally appearing as a painting in the early 2000s with various sizes and background colours, ‘HMV’ was later released as a print. The edition consists of 600 unsigned prints and a limited run of 150 signed prints.
