Roller Rat
2006
Print on Canvas

In Banksy’s ‘Roller Rat’ the rat takes on the role of a graffiti remover, highlighting the irony and subversive nature of street art.
‘Roller Rat’ exemplifies Banksy's ability to use his art to comment on and disrupt societal expectations and traditional artistic conventions. The piece has made numerous appearances over the course of the artist’s career, including at the Banksy vs. Bristol Museum exhibition in 2009 where the same rat is shown defacing a Damien Hirst spot painting.
